Name: Christine Martens
Occupation: 5th grade teacher
(Christine is our famous baby-model's mom! Margot's mom)
What did you want to be when you grew up as a child?
When I was a child, I wanted to be an actor and film director. As a teacher, I definitely feel like I have to put on a performance daily as well as directing a classroom of kids, which is always an adventure.
What is the earliest memory you have?
My earliest memory is my 3rd Halloween. I remember being super impatient about getting ready for trick or treating and finally being able to say "trick or treat"! I was a bunny!!!
Do you think it is possible to be fully ready for a baby?
Never! Not only can it not be described, but every child is different so there is no way you can fully prepare for what is to come. My advice is to always find the positive moments and cherish them!
What do you look for in baby clothes?
I love the softness of baby clothes. They are all so cute and little. They make Margot look like a little person!
What do you like about Yay For You?
I like that Yay For You is different from your generic onesie. The fabrics are all amazing and Margot loves wearing them because they let her move, while being super stylish at the same time.
What is your favorite piece from YFY?
I absolutely adore the Floral Andy.
What type of traditions do you hope to make for your baby/children?
I look forward to the traditions we will create with our little family. I hope to take a summer trip every year and find places that just make us happy!
What is one tradition you remember from your childhood?
My favorite tradition was going to my grandparents' house for Christmas Eve. I remember their living room just covered in presents and they always had the best dinner! We would sing Christmas songs and my grandparents would tell us stories from when they were young.
What is one thing you learned from your pregnancies or from motherhood?
Take one day at a time. I was very sick during my pregnancy, but I knew it would end with a wonderful child. Even though my body was not okay, my mind was always at peace. Margot has taught me to enjoy every moment because time goes by and they do truly grow up so fast.
